GGS: Industry Platform for Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances Logistics Prepares for a Face-to-Face Restart

Registration is Open for the Upcoming Edition of the Trade Fair

The third edition of GGS – Trade Fair Dangerous Goods // Hazardous Substances will be held at Leipziger Messe from 8 to 10 November 2022. Preparations are already underway for this industry platform, which is unique in Europe. Exhibitors can now register to participate. After a break in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, GGS will once again be offering the opportunity for live presentations of new, innovative products and services, as well as personal exchanges with customers and business partners.

"GGS has been progressing well and managed to grow in terms of exhibitors, floor space and visitors at the last edition of the trade fair. We will thus be building on a solid foundation for GGS 2022. Our trade fair in November will once again offer the industry an important platform with an attractive range of exhibits and a practice-oriented conference programme," explains Markus Geisenberger, Chief Executive Officer of Leipziger Messe. Project Director Matthias Kober adds: "Exhibitors and visitors alike have a burning desire for personal exchange. As part of the upcoming GGS, we will once again enable the industry to find out about and exchange information in person on new, innovative developments in the field of dangerous goods and hazardous substances logistics."

Proven Concept Will Be Continued – Scheduled for Autumn of Even Years

The trade fair concept that was revised in preparation for GGS 2019 has proven itself and its essential elements will be continued. From 8 to 10 November 2022 GGS will thus once again be the central platform for suppliers of solutions, products and services for the transport of dangerous goods, storage, intralogistical processes for hazardous substances and safe handling of hazardous goods and substances. The trade fair offer is aimed at decision-makers and specialists responsible for transport and logistics processes, as well as protection and safety officers.

The event will continue to be held in autumn of even years, as agreed with the Trade Fair Advisory Board. This means that the upcoming amendments to ADR and RID can be discussed as part of GGS to meet the demand for information. The German dangerous goods industry federation Gefahrgutverband Deutschland (GGVD) remains the conceptual sponsor of GGS and is assisting in the design of the accompanying, practice-oriented conference programme, which offers additional added value alongside the exhibition with lectures and live demonstrations.

Exhibitor Registration for GGS 2022 Now Open

The registration phase for exhibitors has started. The majority of the companies that registered for the cancelled GGS 2020 have already signalled their participation in the next edition of the trade fair. Exhibitors registering by 31 May 2022 can benefit from an early bird discount. Registration forms are available on the GGS website.
